Suzuki Certified Teacher
Dr. Grace Lee recently graduated with an Artist Diploma in Piano Performance at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She completed a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance and the Post Master’s Certificate in Music Theory Pedagogy at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2012. She served as an Instructor of Music/Staff Accompanist at the University of the Incarnate Word in 2012-2013 year. Dr. Lee graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with the Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy in 2007 and was named the outstanding senior graduate in piano. She was a winner of the 2005 Tennessee Music Teachers Association’s Steinway Young Artist Competition, the UT Celebration of Excellence Competition in 2005, 2006, and 2007, and the 2006 UT Concerto Competition.
Dr. Lee received the Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music in 2009. She was a recipient of the UMKC Chancellor’s Non-Resident Award and Conservatory Ovation Award. Ko Eun Lee has performed in master classes of internationally renowned pianists Kevin Kenner, Boaz Sharon, William Westney, Simone Dinnerstein, Jacques Després, Pascal Rogé, Jeremy Denk, André Watts, and Byron Janis. Her previous teachers include Kimberly Beasley, David Northington, Jane Solose, Robert Weirich, and Andrew Willis. Dr. Lee also studied piano pedagogy and is Suzuki Certified through the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
