Alaina has been studying piano since the age of eight. She is in her final year at the University of North Carolina, Asheville, obtaining degrees in both French and Environmental Studies with a minor in piano. Having an infectious enthusiasm for learning and for teaching children, she did exactly that while volunteering abroad in both France and Vietnam. In addition to her passion for music, she shares a passion for helping her entire community; in addition to various volunteerism efforts, she also works at Brother Wolf Animal Rescue in Asheville.
“Piano Lab has been one of the most wonderful things that has happened for my daughter. Before piano, she felt lost and couldn’t figure out what she liked or was good at. Well, now she knows! Alaina & Kimberly encourage her with some awesome pieces. She realizes she has talent, and even though she got a late start starting at 14, nothing is stopping her from pushing and working hard to now want to go to Berklee College and further her education in music. I just can’t help but to be so proud to see her perform at these recitals and get more confident each time. Thank you, Piano Lab for working with my daughter and showing her she can do anything, things she didn’t even think she could do!” – Proud Asheville Parent
